1. Application schedule for college-level exchange students?
For those who apply for exchange in the Spring Semester, the applications should be submitted in September; for those who apply for the exchange in the Fall Semester, the applications should be submitted in March. Please refer to "Latest News - International Exchange." (For example: If you apply for the spring of 2020, the applications will be submitted in September 2019; if you apply for the autumn of 2020, the applications will be submitted in March 2020)
2. Course Enrollment for college-level exchange students:
Exchange students can register at the department/office on the first day of school and ask department staff to assist in selecting courses in the department/institution. For courses in other departments, Exploring Tainan and General Education(A9), please follow NCKU Notice of Course Enrollment.
3. To Apply Student ID Card for college-level exchange students:
Please bring the College level International Exchange Student Enrollment Procedure Sheet of Students Handbook _CPD, come to your department office as your FIRST stop, and please hand in this sheet to Registrar Division after all the procedures are completed. You could pick up your student ID card after 1-2 weeks of submitting this sheet.
4. Health Examination for college-level exchange students:
Exchange students only need to submit the Measles and Rubella Immunization and chest X-ray Certificate (English version only).
5. What is the application timeline for exchange programs at the college level?
For Spring semester exchange applications, application materials are typically submitted around September of the previous year; for Fall semester applications, application materials are typically submitted around March of the current year.
6. Do I still need to register at NCKU during the exchange period?
Yes, you must still register at NCKU to retain your student status during your exchange period, but you do not need to select any courses.
Note! Do not complete the "Leaving School Procedure." You must be a current NCKU student during the exchange period.
7. What should male students note about military service?

8. Can I return home early if my exchange semester has not ended?
Exchange students should study at the host university in accordance with the academic calendars and course schedules of both universities. If there are significant reasons (such as failure to obtain a student visa, sudden illness, serious illness, family emergencies, etc.) requiring an early return, you must inform the coordinator at the host university. Early return is permitted only with the consent of both universities.
9. Can courses taken at the exchange school be credited towards the department's credits?
Credit transfer is determined by each department. To find out if a particular course can be credited, you should inquire with the department before departure.
